THIGH LIFTS
The thigh lift procedure can help ameliorate the rubbing, sweating, and uncomfortable feeling that results from excessive inner thigh skin, usually following weight loss or lifestyle change.
The inner thigh area incorporates muscle, fat, and skin. It is the fat and skin that can be addressed with a thigh lift. Surgical options for this procedure include direct excision with a groin crease incision or a T-shaped incision with extension down the leg to tighten the whole inner thigh area. Frequently, liposuction is also used to help address any fat pockets that are present.
This procedure is done on an outpatient basis and is usually performed after a tummy tuck or body lift has been completed. Depending on the size of the individual, this procedure can last two to three hours. Compression garments are required postoperatively to help the skin redrape and minimize bruising.
